Woodpecker Optima
An excellent woodworking centre in terms of solidity, productivity and autonomy
Woodpecker Optima is the latest model produced by Saomad. It is a woodworking centre dedicated to industries that need to work in a completely automatic manner. Optima allows to produce from 20 to 30 doors or windows a day, regardless of their construction concept, joint type or cross-section.
Optima is a solid, compact, stable wood processing machine that can achieve very high processing speeds while improving the quality of finish of the pieces it processes.
Its completely automatic production cycle allows for the dimensional control of all of the pieces prior to processing. Optima can also operate 24 hours uninterruptedly without the need for operator supervision.

Work station
Woodworking centre with 19 kW main electro-spindle,water cooling system and second 5-axis motor for providing maximum flexibility in and precision of processing.
The HSK-63E quick-release toolholder allows to insert milling and angular tools via automatic tool changing.
It has a 112-slot tool magazine. All tools are immediately available for uninterrupted door or window production.
Loading / Unloading unit
Integrated and automatic loading/unloading buffer. In particular, Woodpecker Optima has a modular system for loading from 40 to 120 pieces. Its integration with an intelligent magazine allows to reach a maximum of 1,200 pieces loaded. In this way, the machine can operate unmanned for 24 hours and the doors and windows manufacturer can organize production in a more fluid, stress-less and efficient manner.
Clamps
Piece locking system that uses multiple clamps. Simultaneous loading of 2 pieces up to maximum 2,400 mm in length each, or of 1 single piece up to a maximum of 6,000 mm long.
The system ensures perfect grip of the piece, regardless of its profile or cross-section. Constant precision. Maximum production flexibility.
Software interface
Woodpecker Optima is run by precise and intuitive software capable of executing all types of doors and windows.
The software offers connection interface with all European management software products and can be easily connected online to an existing pool of machines and to CAD/CAM programs.
